There is no question that it is an outstanding time to be buying or selling real estate. Rates are at historic lows with great financial incentives for virtually every buyer and seller.
As you might surmise from the picture above there is a great opportunity for home buyers through the extended and expanded home buyer tax credit of 2010. And while we continue to see first time home buyers taking advantage of the tax credit we are not seeing the same type of interest from those that could qualify for what we’re calling the “move up” portion of the credit.
Time is quickly running out on the current tax credit. Contracts need to be in place by the end of April and the transactions need to close before July 1, 2010. So, if you want to take advantage of this super program you better get going!
